Managing users and permissions
User management lets your account's Account Owner and Admins add and remove users, assign roles and licences, and control module access directly in Datamaran.
Settings is the hub for this. From there, you manage who has access to your account, what each person can do, and how many seats you are using.
Why this matters
- Onboard and offboard people on your own schedule, without waiting on a request
- Control which modules and products each user can access
- Keep track of how many seats you have used and how many are available
- Keep access current as people join, change role, or leave your organisation
Who can manage users
Two roles can manage users and permissions:
- The Account Owner has full access to the platform and to user management. There is one Account Owner per account.
- An Admin has access to all modules plus Settings and user management. There can be multiple Admins per account.
Editor and Contributor users can edit their own details in My Profile, but cannot manage other users. See User roles and permissions for what each role can do.
What you can do here
- Add a user and assign a role, licence, and module access
- Edit a user to change their role, products, or modules
- Remove a user from your account
- Check seats and licences to see what you have used and what is available
- View your products and licences for module and date details
