When you reassess your analysis with Double Materiality Evaluate, Datamaran flags topics that are newly relevant, so you can decide whether to bring them into this cycle. A topic is flagged when it had no IROs in the previous version and now sits above the screening cap, or you have manually included it in the Topic Lens tab.
How it works in your Double Materiality assessment
Newly relevant topics are flagged in the IRO Hub. Click View Details to see what the icons mean. For a flagged topic you want to include, use the IRO Industry landscape for AI-suggested IROs, or add custom IROs.
What you should do
- Review each flagged new topic to decide whether to include it in this year's assessment.
- Create new IROs where needed, to reflect emerging or previously overlooked areas.
- The analysis owner can then assess the IRO, or assign the topic to an SME for assessment.
Note: a flagged topic is a prioritisation signal, not a materiality conclusion. You decide its materiality on its chosen path.
