Mapping IROs to ESRS-AR16 within the Double Materiality Module

[Double Materiality module]

Datamaran’s IRO Hub allows you to map IROs to the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) and its AR16 component. This feature connects Datamara’s more holistic Ontology of topics to the newer European reporting standard.

To map the individual IROs, you should:

  1. Select the “IRO Hub”.
  2. In the default “Datamaran” tab, if you haven’t already done so, generate IROs by clicking on the desired topic or on “Suggest IROs”. This will take you to the individual IRO page.
  3. Click on any IRO to view its properties within a sliding side panel. Located below the “Datamaran topics” is the “ESRS Sus. Matters” dropdown selector.
  4. Click on “+Add topic” and select the appropriate ESRS topic. You can also add a “sub-topic” or “sub-sub-topic” as needed.
  5. To save and return to the previous screen, close the side panel by either the “X” in the top right corner or by clicking outside the panel.

Map as many IROs as you see fit, these will all be housed within the Datamaran’s Ontology topic. However, mapped IROs will be distributed into the ESRS classification system. To view this classification, return back to the IRO Hub’s topic view.

With at least one IRO mapped to the ESRS Sustainability Matters, the second “ESRS” tab will be active and accessible.

Once more, IROs will be organized according to the ESRS classification.

As some IROs cannot be mapped to AR16, they will remain mapped to Datamaran topics, displayed at the bottom of the page as Entity Specific IROs.

In whichever classification system you work in (Datamaran or ESRS), you can always work on the individual IROs and changes will be reflected back to their respective taxanomies.
