[Double Materiality module]
Datamaran's AI-automated Double Materiality can generate impacts, risks and opportunities (IROs) based on companies' corporate disclosures.
To generate IROs for your analysis, go to the IRO Hub tab. Here, you will see the topics sorted based on the evidence available and those marked as included by the topic screening.
Click on 'Suggest IROs' to generate the IROs for a topic. We recommend starting your review with the topics deemed relevant by the platform.
Clicking on a topic, allows you to review the AI's generated IROs based on the public disclosures of the companies being analyzed. Use the filter to hone in on a specific stream for a more focused review.
We suggest limiting your analysis to 2 - 4 IROs per topic to better manage a rapidly expanding data set of these. The IROs are organized with the first listed being more algorithmically prominent based on corporate disclosures.
Clicking on a specific IRO lets you edit, delete or assess the IROs’ dimensions.
To delete IROs not relevant to your organization, click on the trashcan icon. This action can be undone right after.
To edit IROs, click directly on the text to change the description proposed by the system and tailor it to your organization. You can also modify the automatic ESRS mapping.
The total number of IROs shown on the IRO Hub tab will be automatically updated. You can revisit them whenever you need to review.

ESRS mapping
Datamaran will automatically map suggested IROs to the European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS) and its AR16 component. Should these not align with your requirements, you can also change their ESRS topic, sub-topic, or sub-sub-topic in the side panel.
Of note: The automatic mapping is done as a recommendation and should be validated so that it conforms to your specific requirements.
If IROs cannot be mapped to the ESRSs, they will be shown as Entity specific IROs.
