Including Risks in Your Executive Dashboard
The risks in your analysis come from the industry Issue Mapping template you choose when you set up an analysis.
Datamaran curates these templates from the major disclosure frameworks, external developments, and feedback from clients, partners and advisers. You can tailor the mapping to fit your business.
Why this matters
- Understand why certain risks appear in your analysis and others do not
- See how your issue mapping choice, not just your industry, shapes the risk set
- Tailor the mapping so the dashboard reflects what is material to you
How the risks are chosen
When you set up an analysis, you choose an issue mapping (see Setting up an External Risk Analysis). The risks and topics that appear are the ones in that template. Datamaran uses a pre-selected, industry-specific set to speed up risk identification and to keep watch for risks that may emerge later.
The template reflects your industry classification, which refines where in the value chain each topic is relevant. Some industry mappings also include topics specific to that industry. For example, "Ethics of clinical trials" appears only in the Healthcare mapping, under the "Ethics in R&D" issue.
