How to monitor your material issues with Dynamic Analysis?

(You require Datamaran latest version to use this function)

To keep pace with a constantly evolving risk landscape, Datamaran has developed a dynamic materiality feature that allows you to keep your finger on the pulse of how the issues that matter to your business are evolving, all reflected in your materiality matrix.

To monitor the changes happening to your material issues, you need to click on the Start monitoring text, as this will kick off the monitoring process.

Please note that once you started the monitoring process you will no longer be able to make edits to the analysis without duplicating it. Please note that when duplicating the analysis, you will automatically reset the starting of the monitoring period for that particular analysis.

Once your analysis is finalized, the feature will automatically generate a new version every three months. You will be able to select which versions in the timeline you want to compare.

You can either select One Version View to see each snapshot at each three months interval, or you can select Dynamic View to directly compare and see how issues have changed over time.

Once you have selected the two analyses, you will see three tabs:

  • A matrix visualization of the changes between the two versions

A green shading will appear when an issue has gained more importance; in case of a significant decrease, an orange shading will be applied to the cells.

  • The dynamic double materiality view, presenting double materiality issue rank changes between the two selected dates, for the underlying sources as well as at Financial and Impact level. The rank change is in bold numbers, and the current rank is the number next by. Green shading indicates issues that have increased in importance, while orange shading indicates a decrease in importance. You will be able to sort the issues by name or by relevance (is the product of the normalized x and y scores in the materiality analysis)
